Sarah is a Legislative Affairs Specialist at Ecojustice’s office in the unceded territory of the Lkwungen (Lekwungen) peoples, and the Songhees, Esquimalt, and W̱SÁNEĆ First Nations, known as Victoria. She combines her experience in public policy and love of nature to advocate for better laws in BC.

Her current priority is advocating for an overarching biodiversity law to protect and restore the province’s valuable ecosystems in a way that supports and prioritizes Indigenous rights and sovereignty. Prior to working for Ecojustice, Sarah spent almost a decade in policy and regulatory development with the Government of Alberta.

In her spare time, Sarah likes to run, improve her skills as a very novice birder, and puzzle.
