Kimberly is the Acting Executive Director at Ecojustice and an experienced senior non-profit leader. Prior to her current post she served on Ecojustice’s Leadership Team as Director of Strategic Communications for 10 years. She contributes strategic insight, deep organizational knowledge, and strong systems and people leadership to Ecojustice’s mission work.
Born and raised in Vancouver, Kimberly is the eldest daughter of Chinese immigrants and a second-generation settler in Canada. Her professional and academic experiences have reinforced her conviction that systems transformation is rooted in people power and community wisdom — and that, especially in this moment, “the work” must be grounded in the values of inclusion, equity, and justice.
Before joining Ecojustice in 2010, she worked as a journalist and in several of Canada’s largest newsrooms.
Kimberly holds a Bachelor of Journalism degree from Carleton University and a Masters in Community Development from the University of Victoria. She is also an alumna of Minerva Foundation’s Women Leading the Way program and the Propel Leadership Institute at the University of Washington.
