CJ Martin wrote her first grant in 1990, for the Ottawa Peace and Environment Resource Centre. More than thirty years later, she is just as passionate about defending the environment.
She has a BA in English from Trent University. She also completed the Editing Certificate program and Plain Language certificate program at Simon Fraser University, both summa cum laude.
For many months of the year, CJ’s “desk” is under the tree in her front yard. When indoors, she enjoys her many thriving plants.
In addition to writing grants, CJ writes poetry. Her latest projects interact with ancient wisdom literature to voice today’s environmental and social concerns.
