We’ve just filed for a judicial review of Cabinet’s approval of the Kinder Morgan pipeline project.

Two weeks ago, the federal government broke its promises to respect indigenous rights and protect future generations from the impacts of climate change when it approved the Kinder Morgan project. In doing so, the federal government also signed-off on a seven-fold increase in tanker traffic through the Salish Sea — a death knell for the endangered Southern Resident killer whales that make their home in those waters.

That’s why we’re counting on your support to make sure that we are able to fight as hard as we can, for as long as it takes, to stop this project.

We’ve helped our clients, Living Oceans Society and Raincoast Conservation Foundation, though each step of the project’s review process.  Along the way, we read thousands of pages of evidence, and we can tell you with absolute conviction that this project cannot be allowed to stand. There is simply too much at stake for our climate, coastal communities, and the environment.

We hope that you’ll continue to stand with us as we enter the next chapter in our fight to stop this pipeline project.

We know that even when the federal government approves a pipeline project that put communities and the environment in harm’s way, the courts have the power to stop it. That’s what happened with Enbridge’s Northern Gateway project. And we’re going to use every legal tool at our disposal to make sure the Kinder Morgan project meets the same fate.

Donate now, and make sure we have all the resources we need to shut the door on this pipeline project for good.
