Sean joined Ecojustice in 2022 as a staff lawyer and is based in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

He received his Bachelor of Laws degree in 2004 from Dalhousie University Schulich School of Law and was admitted to the Newfoundland and Labrador Bar in 2006. He began his legal career in Aboriginal law working with the Australian government and the Indigenous population in an effort to help establish restorative justice measures in the country’s Northern Territory. Upon graduation, he moved back to Newfoundland and Labrador and practiced criminal and civil litigation at all levels of court in the province.

His experience as a lawyer began at the Newfoundland and Labrador Legal Aid Commission before he entered private practice. Originally from Labrador, Sean brings his litigation experience and commitment to addressing environmental and Aboriginal law issues to the Ecojustice organization.

Outside of the office, Sean enjoys an active lifestyle and can often be found on the slopes, the water, or spending time with his family.
