Kanisha is excited to be joining Ecojustice’s Toronto Office as their 2022-2023 articling student. Kanisha has a long-standing passion for environmental justice and is looking forward to learning more about using the law as a tool for change.
She has a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Conservation from the University of British Columbia, and recently graduated from Dalhousie’s Schulich School of Law with certificates in environmental law and Aboriginal and Indigenous law.
Kanisha has experience working with several environmental organizations, and was recently invited to testify in front of the Senate Committee on Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources regarding the improvement of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act to be more protective of vulnerable populations. In her free time, she enjoys baking, going for long walks, and experimenting with pottery.
