Ecojustice video wins international award

Great news! Ecojustice’s animated video on source water protection has earned a bronze medal at the Bassawards, a global program that promotes excellence in broadcast design, ranging from film to television. Out of the 15 finalists shortlisted by the pre-jury, seven received an award including Ecojustice.

Working with the awesome folks at Toronto-based Smart Bubble Society Inc., we produced the video last fall to accompany the release of Waterproof 3, our national drinking water report card. The video and our report card looked at Canada’s efforts to protect source water — the streams, lakes and aquifers that feed our drinking water systems. In the face of evolving threats such as climate change and unmitigated contaminants, protecting the quality and quantity of source water is a critical first step to ensuring safe drinking water for all.
