For another Greater sage-grouse baby chick boom

Devon PageLawyer

What is your holiday wish for the environment? Mine is for another Greater sage-grouse baby chick boom.

After decades of decline, these endangered and quirky birds are finally on the long, rocky road to recovery. This year, for the second year in a row, populations in Alberta and Saskatchewan grew. And with any luck, 2017 will see that trend continue.

This comeback story is welcome news for a species that was teetering on the edge of extinction just two years ago. It’s also living proof of Ecojustice’s impact and what is possible when people like you decide to stand with us. With your support, Ecojustice lawyers spent several years in court fighting for an emergency order to protect sage-grouse habitat.  That order has been a critical factor in the sage-grouse’s population boom.

We’ll be counting on your support to win even more legal victories in the coming year.  Please give today and help us raise $150,000 before January 1st.

Over the next few weeks, you’ll be introduced to some of the people that make Ecojustice such a wonderful place.  They are an inspiring bunch, and they are excited to share their holiday wishes with you.  When you donate to us this holiday season, you’ll be helping us turn those wishes into reality.

With thanks,

P.S. We want to hear from you too! Share your holiday wishes for the environment with us using the hashtag #EcojusticeWishes on Twitter, or send us an email at
